The Whispering Grove
The forest canopy is so thick that daylight barely reaches the ground. Twisted roots knot across the trail, pale mushrooms glow beneath the ferns, and tiny lights drift between the trees like wandering stars.
At first, you mistake them for fireflies… then the laughter begins. Skittering through the trees like echoes never ending.
A swarm of fairies circles overhead, their smiles far too sharp and their wings shimmering with sickly green light. They have stolen the trail markers, turned every path back upon itself, and threaten you with enchanted sleep. You have until moonrise to break their spell and escape before the forest decides to keep you permanently.
