WEEKLY MISSION: The Gaming Tourist
We spend hundreds of hours saving kingdoms, grinding loot, climbing ranked ladders, and generally causing problems for NPCs.
This week? You’re taking the day off.
Your mission is to visit a game world you love and spend one play session acting like you’re actually on vacation there. No quest markers. No grinding. No worrying about your K/D ratio.
Go sightseeing. Find somewhere to eat. Visit a landmark. Go fishing. Hit the beach. Find a hotel. Ride public transportation. Catch a show. Buy yourself something completely unnecessary. This week the world isn’t ending! Relax a little!
How to Participate
Choose any game world where you can reasonably do some sightseeing and plan yourself a little virtual vacation.
During your trip, try to complete at least three tourist activities:
Visit a landmark or famous location
Find somewhere your character could grab a meal or drink
Catch a great view
Try a recreational activity
Buy yourself a souvenir
Take the scenic route instead of fast traveling
Find some local entertainment
Pick somewhere you’d stay for the night
Take the obligatory tourist photo
You can also invent your own tourist activity.
The important part is that, for one session, you’re exploring the game world instead of trying to beat it.

When your vacation is over, come back and share your trip with us.
Tell us:
Where you went- What you did
Your completely unofficial vacation rating- A screenshot or two from the trip, if you grabbed any
And browse everyone else’s vacations while you’re here. If somebody visits a world you’d happily book a ticket to, let them know.
By the end of the week, we might accidentally build the strangest gaming travel guide on the internet.

- Keep spoilers marked when appropriate.
- Absolutely no responsibility will be taken for vacations booked in Night City.
