The village scout arrives carrying a battered field journal tucked beneath his arm. He opens it to a faded illustration and places it carefully on the table.
“Now this is unlike anything I’ve encountered on the trails.” He studies the one tiny portion of the image that remains perfectly clear. “Whatever these enormous contraptions are, someone appears to be racing them… deliberately.”
He slides his magnifying lens your way.
“Perhaps this little glimpse is enough for you to make sense of it?”
