The Royal Cartographer carefully unfolds a frost-stained scrap of parchment across the table.
“This one arrived with a trading caravan from the north. The parchment was nearly frozen solid when they found it, and whatever journey it once recorded has been lost.”
He brushes a few remaining crystals of ice from its edge and turns it toward you.
