WEEKLY MISSION: Unfinished Achievement Business
You know the achievement… The one you tried to unlock. Failed. Tried again. Failed again. And eventually decided that maybe 100% completion wasn’t that important after all.
This week, we’re going back to that one!
Let this be the charge to reinvigorate your mission! To find an achievement that’s been looming over your head, load that game back up, and give it another shot!!
Maybe you’ve gotten better. Maybe you’ve learned a new strategy. Maybe enough time has passed that you’re finally ready to suffer again. Whatever happens, it’s time to settle some unfinished achivement business.
How to Participate
1. Find Your Nemesis
Pick an achievement you’ve attempted before but never managed to unlock.
It could be:
A boss you could never defeat
A brutal time trial
A ridiculous skill challenge
That ONE collectible you’re still missing
A difficulty or completion achievement
A challenge you’ve attempted more times than you’d like to admit
Don’t have an achievement haunting you?
Find a locked achievement in one of your games that you’ve always avoided because it looked too difficult, tedious, weird, or completely outside your wheelhouse.
That’s your target.
2. Give It Another Shot
You’ve got the entire week.
Look up a strategy. Practice. Grab some friends if the achievement allows it. Dust off an old save file. Start over if you have to.
Then get after it.
3. Report Back
Whether you finally conquered it or the achievement defeated you once again, come back and tell us how it went.

Share a strategy, offer some spoiler-free advice, or just give them the encouragement they need to make one more attempt.
And when somebody finally unlocks an achievement that’s been haunting them for years? Give them the victory lap they’ve earned!
Ground Rules
- Any game, platform, achievement, or trophy system is welcome.
- Returning to an achievement you’ve previously failed is encouraged, but not required.
- If you don’t have a previous nemesis, choose something you normally wouldn’t attempt.
- Guides and community advice are fair game.
- Keep story spoilers clearly marked.
- You don’t have to succeed to complete the mission. Making the attempt is what counts.
