Tavern Riddle
The hooded patron is already watching as you enter the tavern. A pair of dice tumble lazily between his fingers before disappearing somewhere beneath his sleeve.
As you take the seat across from him, he produces one die from behind your ear and drops it onto the table with a quiet clack.
“Thought you might come back. Let’s see what you make of this one.”

TAVERN RIDDLE
I float where blades cannot linger,
Yet every battle depends on my hand.
I mend what steel has broken,
And raise the weary where they stand.
When victory comes, my name may not be said.
Yet when I fall, the group will surely face dread.
Who or what am I?
