GREAT idea =)
I disassembled the main office PC of my parents with the age of 10 … ![]()
That’s a good idea to involve her in the building process. It makes the kids appreciate something more when they had a hand in it’s assembly.
How is it running? What games is she playing?
That’s an awesome first build, and honestly it’s better specced than a lot of adults’ first builds. The 7800X3D plus 9070 XT is a killer combo for 1440p, that monitor won’t go to waste.
Two things I’d double-check before the big build day: first, the Yeston Atlantis is a long card, so make sure it clears the front fans in that M06 case. And second, the MSI PRO B850M-P should be fine with the 7800X3D out of the box, but I’d update the BIOS before doing anything else just to be safe.
One tip from someone who taught their younger cousin to build: let her do the screws herself and have her seat the RAM and GPU. Those two clicks are the most satisfying part, she’ll love it.
