When Games Mean More

 There’s always that one turning point. Maybe it was a late-night session that went way longer than planned. Maybe it was a single scene, a mechanic finally clicking, or a moment where you realized you were completely locked in. At some point, it stopped feeling casual and started feeling personal. That’s when you knew this game had you.

What makes you feel like you’re not just “playing” something anymore and it’s now an investment, vote and then share a story in the thread!

I am an adventure gamer at heart. The options given aren’t easy, but I think escapsim would be the right descriptive world. Let’s say that I like living in other people’s stories to tell. I like comparing games to books, games being interactive and the other imaginative, but intimately share the same experiences. You can get lost in those worlds, and by lost, I mean by setting your own reality aside. This can, at times, allow crossover, allowing you as an individual to rethink. These worlds also allow you to be chaotic. Gaming does allow ventilation, and it does give you perspective. Fiction is what it is; people shouldn’t contimate that with our own world even where real, and tangible, themes drive the game’s narrative and world-building. It has only contributed to telling stronger stories, and having that locks you in.

Gaming has produced some excellent writing.
