Why You Don’t Max It Out
You could crank everything to max. The option is there, the hardware can handle it (mostly), and it’s tempting to just push every slider to the top. But a lot of people don’t actually play that way. There’s usually a tradeoff… something that makes dialing it back the smarter move in the long run.
When you choose not to run max settings, what’s usually the reason?

- Stability concerns — I want consistent performance
- Noise — I don’t want my system ramping up
- Heat — keeping temps under control matters
- Diminishing returns — not worth the extra strain
- Comp — If I change my FOV, I can see people before they see me
