Why You Don’t Max It Out

:gear: You could crank everything to max. The option is there, the hardware can handle it (mostly), and it’s tempting to just push every slider to the top. But a lot of people don’t actually play that way. There’s usually a tradeoff… something that makes dialing it back the smarter move in the long run.

When you choose not to run max settings, what’s usually the reason?

  • Stability concerns — I want consistent performance
  • Noise — I don’t want my system ramping up
  • Heat — keeping temps under control matters
  • Diminishing returns — not worth the extra strain
  • Comp — If I change my FOV, I can see people before they see me

Consistency is key. If it is going to put my game at risk then i dont want it.
