Driver Update Roulette
Every PC gamer knows the feeling. A new driver drops and suddenly the entire community splits into two groups: “massive performance gains” and/or “my system now speaks in riddles.”
Some people update immediately. Others wait nervously while watching Reddit threads like they’re weather reports.
What’s your usual strategy when new GPU drivers release?
Bonus points if you’ve ever rolled back a driver in pure anger.
- Install immediately — I want the newest optimizations
- Wait a few days and see if people explode first
- Only update when a game forces me to
- Stay on the “stable” driver for as long as possible
- Forget entirely until something breaks
