Merchant’s Stall
The merchant sits beneath his purple canopy, nervously tapping a small, battered fragment of machinery against the counter.
“Ah, adventurer! Wonderful timing. I’ve acquired something rather unusual, and I could use a second opinion.”
He holds up the fragment, revealing several tiny buttons, a cracked speaker grille, and a piece of a broken antenna.
“The fellow who sold it to me claimed this device could help him speak with people who were no longer among the living. Naturally, I assumed he was mad.”
The merchant leans closer, lowering his voice.
“But last night, I heard something whispering from inside it. I asked who was there, and the blasted thing told me to get out!”
He quickly pushes the fragment toward you.
