So there I was this morning, feeling pretty confident about my Cuphead skills. I’d made it to the final phase of the Ribby and Croaks fight, health looking good, victory within reach.
Then my brain completely short-circuited.
I meant to dash under their attack. Instead, I fat-fingered the parry button and just slapped the air like an idiot while a giant boxing glove demolished Cuphead’s face. In my panic to recover, I mashed dash and sent him zooming directly into the next attack.
Dead. Not even a cool death. Just straight up walked into traffic.
My wife heard me yell from the other room. I had to explain that I’d just failed at pressing two buttons in the correct order.
Did I recover? Took another 15 attempts, but yeah. Do I still think about that parry into nothing? Every time I open the game.
The shame is real.
idk, hard i guess, but my biggest one was not putting enough effort into a league of legends tourny back in college. We did extremely well o the first day and got to the finals, won the first match, then had to break because it was like 1 AM. The next day i just played terribly and we lost the next two matches. It was annoying.
So I have SOOOOOO MANY moments like fat fingering a button, but one that has stuck out, back when I used to play warzone, there was a time I got shot at didn’t know where it was from and just starting shooting in the direction I thought the enemy was, here’s the catch, tho I was making it look so awesome, I was quick aiming and burst firing …it was all at trees! lol
