Huge shoutout to the Golden Joystick Awards (and to all the gamers out there) for recognizing the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D as the Best Gaming Hardware of 2025. This one means a lot .
What makes this win special is how far our 3D V-Cache⢠technology has come. My favorite feature? Stacking massive amounts of L3 cache right on the CPU!
If youāve upgraded to a 3D V-Cache CPU, what game surprised you the most in terms of FPS gains?
Weāre incredibly proud! Thanks for helping make it happen everyone!
I bought a 9600X for my build first, but when I ran CP2077, GPU usage would often fall below 100%. To be honest, I was kind of surprised Iām not seeing much uplift over 11900K, if any. 7800X3D seemed quite a step up in terms of price, but I decided to send the 9600X back and get the 7800X3D. Best decision I could make, 7900 GRE can fully stretch its legs now :).
Iāve been on a Intel i7 9700k since Jan 2019 and finally got āFr0stC0reā finished prior to Halloween and I did several games testing, some of which I was dissapointed that the 9800x3D made very little difference in games such as World of Warships/Tanks or Titanic Honor and Glory 401 demo with my new Powercolor hellhound 9070 XT which replaced my GOAT evga 1080Ti Hybrid FTW
But when I compared my FPS from the built in benchmark in Cyberpunk 2077 using FRAPS, my FPS shot up over 50 fps!
My last AMD was the Athlon XP 2100+ waaaaay back in 2002 and my first rig I ever built was Athlon Axia 1.33ghz in early 2001. Not to mention, my first and only AMD gpu was an Ati Radeon 9800 Pro as ATiās ran Half Life 2 better then the crap Geforce FX series back in 2004. So it feels real good to be back on Team Red after all this time!
Wow! The Athlon is a legendary CPU in my book! Iām impressed. Great to have you back on Team Red @H0thTr0n . Iāve been running a 5800X3D for a while and Iām still taken by how well it runs all of my games, including Dead Space (2023) one of my old time favoritesā¦Metro Exodus Remastered. Have a great, long weekend!
I have four computers running the X3D series - one a 5600X3D, one a 7600X3D, and two are running the 7800X3D. I feel that they are faster than the standard versions of the CPUs, but these are new builds, not upgrades from earlier versions.
