Translation: As a long-time AMD user, I have always trusted the brand, but recent actions have really been disheartening. Despite having advanced ‘Ryzen’ technology, there has been no consideration for bringing it to older products, as if we longtime users have been completely forgotten. Previously, they even directly stopped updating drivers for some older graphics card models. Isn’t this series of actions essentially abandoning longtime users? We spent real money supporting the brand and shouldn’t be treated this way. I hope AMD pays attention and gives longtime users some explanation!
Rule #11
- AMD Community language is English. The designated language across this platform is English. While we have members from all over the globe speaking a variety of languages and barring any specific global events (where a stream is primarily in a language other than English), our moderators need to understand what you are saying to do their job effectively.
I think that over the years AMD has done a good job supporting the users. Take the AM series of sockets for the processors. They are now on AM5, but it has already supported several generations of the AMD processors (7000 and 9000 series). The AM4 socket supported the earlier Ryzen processors (1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000 series). Technology changes fast and I believe Intel has changed sockets much more often on their users.
