FSR4 and FSR Redston for Vulkan games

Is there an ETA for FSR4 and FSR Redstone for Vulkan games?
Will Doom Dark Ages benefit from FSR Redstone release or is this something that needs to be integrated by the developer?

Unfortunately, I don’t have any additional info. And you are also correct, the developer does need to incorporate these features into their game in order for the game to be optimized for its use.

Latest update on FSR Redstone is here https://x.com/JackMHuynh/status/1990794384833720504?s=20 and also we should have some updates here on the site too as the information comes available.

I’m wondering about this too. So far AMD hasn’t given any solid ETA for FSR4 or Redstone support on Vulkan. For Doom Dark Ages, it’ll most likely depend on whether the devs decide to integrate it themselves.

I test a lot of performance-heavy games, including some bus simulator mod apk –style titles, and Vulkan updates usually make a big difference in smoothness. Hopefully AMD shares more details soon.

Chiming in here as well for info on FSR4/FSR Upscaling - I picked up DOOM: The Dark Ages and was really hoping to see FSR4 support there by now for Vulkan. Fingers crossed for some news about that soon-ish, especially as many of us are leaning toward making Linux our primary gaming OS. I know CES is going to be all AI, AI, and more AI…but I bought a 9070 XT in the hopes that AMD could do better by their customers than Nvidia and strike a balance. LLMs have their uses, but most of us really don’t care about that here on “AMD Gaming” I’m loving the Sony/AMD Project Amethyst collaboration, and Redstone is a good next step on the PC space - I hope to see AMD listen to their customers’ requests more openly about future roadmaps.

Just curious, due to all the leaks and how things are, even though not intended (or maybe were)… is there any info on FSR4 (aka FSR RedStone) and older GPUs, like RX 7000 series?

Also adding my wishes for FSR4 in Vulkan here. Really looking forward to Enshrouded to hit 1.0 this year and it’s a very heavy voxel-based game that effectively needs upscaling to play at a reasonable framerate, but also only uses Vulkan API meaning no FSR4 - even with OptiScaler.

So, only theory and zero practice? I hoped we will finally get Redstone features and use full potential of RDNA 4. So sad!
