Signalement AMD — The Witcher 3 Remastered

Hello AMD team,

The Witcher 3 Remastered – Severe graphical corruption on RX 9060 XT 16GB with Adrenalin 26.9.2

I am experiencing severe graphical corruption in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on my AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB.

My system:

  • GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB
  • CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Driver: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.9.2

The graphical problems include:

  • Geralt’s skin and hair becoming abnormally dark
  • Grass, hay and vegetation becoming completely black
  • Grass and vegetation flickering
  • Black textures
  • Incorrect lighting and shadows
  • Some graphical elements failing to load or render correctly

These problems can occur during normal gameplay. They are not simply a preference for image quality; they are visible rendering errors that make parts of the game look incorrect.

I have already installed Adrenalin 26.9.2, but the graphical corruption is still present.

I have also submitted a report through the AMD Bug Report Tool and attached screenshots showing the problem.

I hope AMD and CD PROJEKT RED can investigate this issue, particularly on the RX 9000 series.

Thank you for looking into this issue.

Best regards,
Yuffie

Thanks for the flag! Passing along to the team!

You’re definitely not alone on this one. I’ve been seeing similar graphical weirdness reported on the 9000 series in a few different games, so it really does feel like a driver-side thing rather than your card.

In the meantime, the workaround that helped me in another game with flickering textures was wiping the shader cache and then doing a clean driver reinstall with a full DDU pass first. It didn’t fix things completely, but it cut the flickering down a lot until a driver update sorted it properly.

Good call on the bug report with screenshots attached. Hopefully this gets picked up in one of the next driver releases.
